It’s all about CloudFest 2023

Yes, we traveled 1 000km to get to CloudFest 2023 and it was worth it. Four days filled with amazing talks, exploring new gadgets, products and solutions, networking, expert knowledge, and having fun at the roller coaster and party! We return home tired but satisfied with the conference and we’re full of ideas that we can apply to our business. Glad to be part of CloudFest 2023.

About CloudFest 2023

Some of us were at Cloudfest for the first time, some of us were even ten times, and still, the conference managed to amaze all of us.

CloudFest is the world’s premier event for internet infrastructure, creating unparalleled opportunities to connect with cloud computing experts and form the relationships that drive your business forward — all while having a great time. This year, Cloudfest 2023 was the biggest so far – more than 6 000 attendees, 250+ speakers, and 150+ partners, all from 65 countries.

Exhibitors and speakers at CloudFest 2023

At Cloudfest 2023 were more than 100 exhibitors and each of them presented their innovations. For example, there was an AI dog (Asbis / Nvidia), VR glasses (Yullbe), servers in water and oil (Wedos), drawing caricatures on a tablet by amazing artist Tuncay Erol (Virtuozzo), and many other cool gadgets. We got the chance to talk to a few exhibitors and see what’s new with them and present Sysbee services. We won only one award (thanks Halon), but we met interesting companies and people (congrats to those who won other prizes).

Like everything else, the talks didn’t disappoint us either. Here we gonna mention just a few of them. For example, we listened interesting talk from Boris Becker (Legendary Tennis Star) about ‘How to Win and Lose Like a Champion’. A fireside chat with Internet Pioneer Dr. Paul Vixie (Director at SIE Europe U.G.) – about what he thinks about the state of the internet today, and where it’s headed ‘Will The Internet Survive Itself?’. What do you do after you build the internet’s most popular open-source database? Simple… you do it again – Michael “Monty” Widenius (CTO at MariaDB Foundation) talked about Democracy in the Database.

Having fun at Europa-park

Europa-Park is a theme park in Rust, Germany. The park covers a total area of 95 hectares, has eighteen themed areas that offer around one hundred rides, several themed shows, and thirteen amazing roller coasters. Also, Europa-park a conference center where the CloudFest 2023 conference was held. We tested our limits on the roller coaster and have to say it was little scary but it was really fun. Every night, after conference, there was party, great opportunity to relax and networking with others.

Our time at Europa-Park was as productive as it was fun. Hope to see you next year!

Cheers! 🍻
